The EIMV participates in a round table on energy recovery from waste

On 21 November 2024, we attended the event »Meeting the challenges of a sustainable and circular economy in Slovenia: Exchange of knowledge and good practices on the re-use of construction waste«, which brought together key experts, representatives of institutions and companies to discuss the challenges of a sustainable and circular economy in Slovenia.

The event was part of a broader effort to find solutions in the field of waste management, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by rising take-back prices and limited treatment capacity.

The event included a round table on energy recovery of waste, organised by Javni holding Maribor. Dr Rudi Vončina, Head of the Environment Department, who has been working for more than 15 years on the energy recovery of waste and the search for environmentally sound solutions, took part in the debate. The debate provided an opportunity to exchange views and find answers to current environmental challenges, and the event proved that circular economy initiatives are an important goal in our society that deserves professional attention and support.
