Slovenian Engineering Day brings together more than 1.000 engineers - including EIMV experts
7. Mar, 2025On 4 March 2025, we attended the Slovenian Engineering Day at Brdo pri Kranju, the largest gathering of chartered engineers in Slovenia, organised by the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers. The event hosted more than 1,000 experts, business representatives and decision-makers, who discussed the future of sustainable development and the role of engineering in the decarbonisation of the built environment.
The conference provided an insight into the latest trends and technological innovations, including renewable energy (solar, wind, water, geothermal, hydrogen), sustainability reporting and new waste management regulations, as well as smart solutions for energy efficiency.
The event featured presentations by our colleague Dr Rudi Vončina who presented sustainable financing, reporting and design, and Mag. Igor Podbelšek, with a lecture on the use of battery storage in modern power substations in industry and commercial buildings.
At the Milan Vidmar Power Research Institute we are committed to developing advanced energy solutions that will enable the efficient use of renewable energy sources and the decarbonisation of the electricity sector. We are proud to make a significant contribution to sustainable development and engineering innovation.
