Research cooperation with the University of East Sarajevo

The Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute is expanding its professional cooperation with scientific research institutions abroad. A contract on business and technical cooperation has been signed with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, the first result of which will be the installation of sensors for the remote detection of atmospheric electrical discharges at the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The new sensor will be part of the SCALAR system, a system for real-time atmospheric discharges localisation. Access to SCALAR data will open up new possibilities for improving the quality of education at the faculty, and will also expand the existing capacity for scientific research.
