PIES 2019

On 21 and 22 November, we attended the consultation of IT experts in energy sector in Slovenia in Portorož (PIES). This is an important consultation that has been traditionally attended by experts from the EIMV, who contribute greatly to the exchange of experience in IT technologies for energy companies.

The main topic of this year’s consultation, the programme of which was designed by Mag. Andrej Souvent, the head of the PIES programme committee, was Data Mastering. Our researchers presented novelties and trends in the following papers:

• Application of deep learning methods in smart grids (Miha Grabner)
• Importance of proper collection of measurement data (Leon Maruša)
• Testing the acceptability of SOAP implementation of online services of the SUMO system (Dr. Robert Meolic, Janko Koležnik)

Participants also held an interesting round table discussion under the topic “What does good Data Mastering mean?”, where Mag. Andrej Souvent cooperated as panel member.
