PARTICIPATION AT THE CONFERENCE IN ROME
13. Oct, 2017PARTICIPATION AT THE CONFERENCE IN ROME
On 13 October 2017, a conference was organised at the La Sapienza University in Rome, and focused on the following topics: the past 20 years of experience of Italian TSO and DSO in progress at the operation of systems in hazardous situations, especially before natural disasters (glaze ice, snow, earthquakes, floods, heat and drought, fires), defence from serious consequences, the supply of electric energy in critical situations and the re-engagement of a faulty system.
The participants from Slovenia, Prof. Dr. Maks Babuder (EIMV) and Mag. Krešimir Bakič (ELES) presented their paper entitled "Strengthening the resilience of the Slovenian electric grid considering new approach". The paper presents the experience of Slovenian electric power supply companies with regard to natural disasters: specific burdens, consequences and defence measures against threats. They also presented the response of Slovenian TSO and DSO to the efforts of the European Commission and ENTSO-E and ACER, i.e. at the introduction of some new operating instructions, specifically: Network Code on Emergency and Restoration and also the Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection of Generators. The emphasis was put on the content of studies for learning the operations of the Slovenian system as a whole and its parts at increased burdens and in specific dynamical conditions.
