Newly established SITEX network – an association of authorised institutions for nuclear and radiation safety

The EIMV has joined the newly established SITEX network (association of authorised institutions for nuclear and radiation safety), the purpose of which is to improve cooperation on the international level between authorised institutions in safe radioactive waste management and to ensure appropriate support to competent administrative authorities in nuclear and radiation safety and the civil society. The SITEX network was founded by 14 founding members and 5 new institutions will join it soon. The SITEX network is registered in France as a non-governmental organisation and has a five-member management board.

The president of the new association is Dr Delphine Pellegrini from the French authorised organisation IRSN. Dr Nadja Železnik from the EIMV was elected as the management board member
