EIMV shares its knowledge at the 2024 International Conference on Diagnostics in Electrical Engineering

11, Sep, 2024

In the first week of September we attended the 2024 International Conference on Diagnostics in Electrical Engineering in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The conference brought together leading experts, researchers and engineers in the fields of diagnostics, new high-voltage technologies, signal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other advanced technologies. The event was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and strengthen links between academic institutions, industry and research institutions.

The Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute presented five papers at the event, based on the latest research in the fields of diagnostics, smart grids and improving the quality of power grids. Petra Krištof presented research in the field of surge arrester diagnostics, Dr Aljaž Špelko impressed with his paper on innovative approaches to improving the performance of smart grids, and Rok Ahlin's paper on addressing the lightning threat to MV cables attracted a lot of interest among the participants. The opening lecture of the conference was given by Dr Simon Podkoritnik, who, as chair of the session, contributed to the successful conclusion of the event.

At the conference, the EIMV shared cutting-edge knowledge and strengthened collaboration with partners and with leading experts in the field of diagnostics and high voltage, with whom it will continue to co-create the future of applied diagnostics and high voltage technologies.
