EIMV participates in the PIANOFORTE Programme

In June 2022, the five-year PIANOFORTE - European Partnership for Radiation Protection Research programme, in which the EIMV also participates, started. The aim of the research partnership is to improve knowledge and foster innovation in radiation protection to better protect the public, patients, workers and the environment in all ionising radiation exposure scenarios.
PIANOFORTE brings together 58 partners representing 22 countries of the European Union, the United Kingdom and Norway, coordinated by the French Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN). It is co-funded by the European Union's EURATOM programme and the governments of the participating countries. Through its research activities, PIANOFORTE will contribute to the implementation of European policies such as the European Cancer Plan, the Green Growth Pact and the Industrial and Natural Hazards Reduction Plan.
