E-mobility is here

"An e-charging station (two places, 22 kW each) started operating in the beginning of 2020 at the High Voltage Laboratory of the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute. The station is managed by the laboratory itself, one charging place is used by the laboratory, the other one by an operating partner. The charging station is used internally, but there have also been many ideas about the methods of including external users. As the EIMV explains, the institute currently has not company e-cars, but they will start using them soon. The EIMV is actively engaged in various fields of electric power industry and, besides car charging, their station will also be used to test various e-charging concepts and the use of electricity in traffic. Many internal projects study the identification of e-car charging on the basis of smart car mileage meters, the prediction of e-charging station consumption based on artificial intelligence systems and stochastic modelling of e-car consumption. The institute has already evaluated the impact of mass passenger car electrification on the development of the distribution network.”
